Hello
I have just installed a new PC running Vista, and I'm having big problems
with word documents made with OfficeXP looking different when opened on the
new PC. I have installed the same OfficeXP on the new PC, and the documents
look different in their formatting (eg. text spills over into new page when
it was ok in the original doc, numbers which were in a line are now
staggered, etc). I have checked the margins, spacing etc, and they are
exactly the same. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is, because it
is causing a lot of grief to my wife who had just typed her exam papers for
school on the old XP PC and now cannot print them like this.

The way in which Word displays/paginates a document is influenced by the
printer/printer driver that is installed on the machine.  If they are
different, as they quite likely are in the situation that you describe, then
the "problem" that you mention is very likely to occur.
