In my MS word document(approx 300 kb), which I update
every day, I keep getting a mssg
popping up that states: "your document is now too large
for spellchecker to check." I think to myself; Ok, I don't
need it, now lets move on............so I try to click on
the 'OK' box.......

but I can't remove the 'ok' box(it doesn't click through).
In addition, the remainder of computer operations are
frozen-so I then must shut down and re-boot. This means I
have lost all the new corrections/additions to my word
document for the day that I've just entered.

What can I do?

Before re-opening the document go to Tools->Options, click on the "Spelling & Grammar" tab and turn off "Check spelling as you type" - you should be
able to re-open your document without the spell checker running.
