I have a system running Windows 2000 Professional with
Word 97 installed.  If I logon as the Administrator Word
has full functionality.  If I logon as a user with
Restricted Access and go into Word, I am not able to do
Spelling and Grammar checking.  It is not an availble
option under Tools. F7 does not work.  If I go to Tools /
Options the tab for spelling and grammar is grayed out.

Is there a way for a restricted user to be able to use the
Spelling and Grammar in Word 97?

Hi Rick,

It's a problem with permissions in the registry, which can be fixed. Look at
this article:
