Not that I'm aware of. However, you can...
1) Turn on grammar checking and use the option for one space after periods.
This will give you a green wavy line under the extra spacing.
2) Not use the space bar to position text. Use tabs and indents instead.
3) Do a global replace after you have finished writing to replace two spaces
with one. This only works if you follow tip 2, though.
