I just discovered that I misspelled one word that appears
frequently in a 500-page manuscript.  Is there a way I
can ask Spellcheck to search for a single word so I may
correct it?  Thank you.

June,

Edit>Replace.  Type in the mispelling in the find what field and the correct
spelling in the replace with field.  Press replace all.

Greg, Thank You!!!It took less than a second for it to
correct the word in 450 pages!.  But this raises another
question:  why do I have such a hard time finding answers
to anything with Word Help or Microsoft Help that came
with my computer?  I hate to bother you guys, but I can't
get the answers in Help.  Many thanks.

June,

There is a lot of information available in help.  Sometimes it helps to try
to look for the basics.  Like in your case, you wanted to "Find" and
"Replace."  Type in Find and replace in Word help and you will get basically
the same thing I suggested.

As for bothering us guys,  if it wasn't for all the questions that users
like you have ask I wouldn't not have learned half of the little that I do
know about Word.  Keep 'em coming.  If it becomes a bother I will just do
find something else to do :-)
