I can change to UK English spelling/grammer, but Word then automatically
changes to a UK English keyboard. How can I use the UK English
spelling/grammer with my current US English keyboard?

See the article on language formatting in Word in the Tips section of my
website. Feel free to ask back, here, if anything remains unclear.

Thanks for the tip Cindy. Essentially the problem remains. I can either have
US spellchecker with a US keyboard, or UK spellchecker with a UK keyboard
(hence I get a @ instead of " etc.) XP's solution is to provide a short cut
(Left Alt. - Shift) to switch from one to the other, but this is a real
hassle. WordPerfect allows me to select my Language preference irrespective
of key board type.

Hi Mandevu,

I think you missed a part in my article :-) You can change the keyboard LAYOUT
to be different from the keyboard language. For example, I have a Swiss German
keyboard, and I assign that layout (and ONLY that layout) to all the languages
I have enabled. (And I disable the keyboard shortcut to switch languages, BTW)
