Word 2003 shuts down after Proofing Tools 2003 is installed.

Hi guys,

I've installed Office 2003 SP1 and then the Proofing Tools for Office 2003.
Problem is... whenever I start Word and start writing, it shuts down
without warning. This only happens when Proofing Tools is installed. I
tried to uninstall it and everything works fine. The dictionaries installed
by Proofing Tools are English,Portuguese and Spanish.
Any help appreciated.

Not sure, but here's something to try as a starting point:

If you install only one language (let's try English), does Word behave
correctly (not crash)?

Also, read the article on language formatting in Word in the Tips section of
my website. Check the language of your Windows installation, and which
languages are enabled in the Office Language Tools. Then make sure your Word
default language matches that of Windows.

After you run the test with just one language installed, also check the
settings for automatic keyboard and automatic language recognition. If these
are on, try turning them off, then test again with other languages.
