I have been prompted (so far) for PR103678.CAB & ZD561402.CAB. When I insert
my Office 2003 disk they cannot be found so I cannot install the French
Spelling & Grammar check. Any ideas?

Which language version of Word do you have? Not every language version of Word
contains all supported languages...
Assuming it's English (or another language that includes French), did you
explicitly select the French proofing tools to be installed?
If you go over the Control Panel/Add Remove programs, select the Office entry
and click the "Change" button you get a special setup interface. Choose
"Change" again and you should see the components listing. Look for the Office
tools and shared Office apps - the Proofing tools will be in one of those
lists. Drill down until you find the individual languages and check whether the
French proofing tools have been selected. If they have not, set them to "Run
from my computer". If they have, de-select them to uninstall. Let Setup run.
If you uninstalled, go back and mark them to install. With any luck, if the
original setup was damaged, this will fix it.

I drilled down and selected the missing 'run from my computer' checkmarks but
whne I try to install from the disk the installer cannot find TR103621.CAB on
the disk
Any more ideas, please?

You can try the office.setup newsgroup - this appears to be a problem with
setup. Other than that, you can contact MS support (by telephone). If it's a bad
disk, I should think they'd replace it.
