thesaurus messed up!

my thesaurus/spell check/synonym function is acting up. i have a document
wherein in the first half of it, i find synonyms for words and the thesaurus
works. but on the lower half, synonyms nor the thesaurus come out for words i
select! whats wrong with it?!

someone please help. =(

From your description (that's missing the Word version, BTW), I'd guess that the
bottom part of the document has been formatted with a different language.
Perhaps you pasted in some text from the Internet or another document that was
formatted with a language for which you don't have proofing tools? If you click
in some of that text, then go to Tools/Language/Set language, what language is
selected?
