I'm having a problem where Office XP 2002 won't spellcheck
an entire document. It's 57 pgs. long. and Office only
check the first 2-3 pgs. then retunrs a msg. of "Text
marked with Do Not check spelling or grammar was Skipped".
Is anyone familiar with this problem? thanks, tr

Hi Tom,

Select all of the text in the document and then select Language from the
Tools menu, then Set Language and make sure that the "do not check spelling
or grammar" box is completely unchecked.

I had something similiar a little while ago.  I dont know why it does it
but the workaround I had was to recheck the document grammer/spelling.

Go to the Tools menu-select Options and then click on the Spelling and
Grammer tab.  At the bottom of the dialog box there is a button to
recheck the document.  When you click on this button you will get a
warning telling you that the document will have to be rechecked which
is OK.

Now run the spell checker again.

I hope this helps.

Select your entire document (Ctrl-A) and then under tools select "language."

There is a checkbox for "do not check spelling or grammar." Check and then
uncheck that box. (You want it to be unchecked, not gray.) Close the
language dialog.

Press Ctrl-Home and then F7.

This seems to be a common problem. If it is happening in a lot of your
documents, check the formatting in your templates carefully to see if that
setting is used in them.
