I have a document with a word (ie. Asdfgagfasd) that is not detected b
Spellchecker. I've checked in the custom Dictionary and the word is no
in the custom dictionary.
I've gone through all the same word that appears in the document an
make sure that the Do not check spelling or grammar is unticked. Bu
everytime when I run the spellchecker, the word is always ignored an
spellchecker always report that the Spelling is complete.
The spellchecker though is able to detect other words that has
spelling error in the same document.
Does MS Word maintain a list of ignored words in a document?
How do I unignore those words when doing a spellcheck?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank You
Rud
Hi Rudy,
Word does keep track of words to ignore. Somebody running proofing on that doc must have hit "Ignore All" in the foreground Grammar/Speller check. This is saved with the doc so next time you
start Word the word is still ignored.
To reset ignore words...
Go to Tools -> Options -> Spelling and Grammar -> RECHECK DOCUMENT, okay
Then back in the document
Tools -> Spelling and Grammar
and the word should be picked up as a misspelling this time. Good luck!
