I work in a support department and have a user who claims
the sentence: "Class A stores showed most growth tin
pieces" will provoke a grammar error in Word. I have tried
this on Word 97, XP and 2003, but have not managed to do
this. Can anyone there try this and let me know if you get
the grammar checker to flag it?
If you do can you let me know the OS, Word version and
settings for grammar checking etc so I can configure this
users machine accordingly.
This may seem a trivial request, but he is one of "those"
users!!!
Alternatively I would love to send him 100+ messages from
you guys stating the sentence is fine - which I think it
is.
Thanks

The sentence IS poorly constructed, but Word isn't (or shouldn't be)
smart enough to catch it.

A green squiggle is not produced with the English grammar checker in Word
XP or Word 2003.
