When I paste a scanned image (image of handwritten
document, in this case) into my word document, I cannot
see the scanned image in normal, page layout or web layout
view.  I have to go to print preview to see it, or else I
have to double click on the page where I pasted it and
open it separately.  This is most inconvenient.  Other
people in this office can view their scanned documents in
page layout view, but no one knows why it doesn't work on
my computer.  I'm using Windows NT.  Can anyone help me to
fix this?

Thanks,
Miranda Barbare

1. Check the box for "Drawings."

2. Clear the check box for "Picture placeholders."

Note that "drawings" (that is, objects in the drawing layer) are never
displayed in Normal view.
