I make a lot of screen prints a day.  I would like to create a template with
four fields on a page (same size) where i can just paste the image (screen
print) into the field without further adjustments/formats to be made on the
image.  regardless of the size of the image copied, the field on the template
would automatically adjust the image to fit the field (window).  Is this
possible with Word? (yes it has to be word)

A 2x2 table with Exact row height and Preferred column width might
accomplish what you want.

Can you expand on this more? i have a table cell with the specific size boxes
checked, and want to insert a jpeg file into the cell and have Word
automatically size the jpeg to fit the size of the cell. Specifics on how to
accomplish this would be great.

Thanks.

I'm finding that, while it should work, it doesn't necessarily. I consider
this a bug. One ray of hope, though, is that Word is better about observing
Exact row height than it is about observing Preferred column width, so you
should be able to insert the JPEG and at least constrain it to the height of
the cell. Unfortunately, if the aspect ratio is such that the proportionate
width is wider than the preferred width set for the column, it will expand.

I'm just remembering, though, that when I was doing this last night I had
forgotten to turn off the (unfortunately default) auto resizing. Go to the
Table tab of Table Properties, click Options, and clear that check box, and
that should help. Choosing Table | AutoFit | Fixed Column Widths should
help, too.
