G'day,

I am using Office XP. I have a JPG image which I want to
use with an application. The application only accepts
text or RTF documents. The JPG image is 11K. If I paste
the JPG image into Word and save the image as a DOC the
file size is 31K. However when I save the image as a RTF
document the file size increases to 758K.

What techniques can I use to reduce the size of the RTF
document?

Thank you.

Regards,
Vaughan

Hi Vaughan,

I don't know of any. Word 2002 will save the JPG in its
compressed format, RTF cannot. Perhaps you could try
LINKING the image without saving it in the file?
