I want to be able to use the draw-toolbar in a document that has a protected
form. i use a macro to unprotect and protect the form but when the document
is protected i can't draw anything.  can i use another type when i protect
the document? i use:
ActiveDocument.Protect _
       Type:=wdAllowOnlyFormFields, NoReset:=True
is it because of that i can't use the draw-toolbar?
Any help would be great!!

Hi =?Utf-8?B?TcOkcnRhIEx1bmRzdHLDtm0=?=,

Drawing tools and the drawing layer are locked out when ever a document is
protected; all protection types. So basically, no, there is no way to do what
you envision. Closest you can get would be to make the drawing in another
document, then copy/paste that into an unprotected section.

Possibly, you might want to use paste special in that other document to convert
it into a graphics format (instead of a Word drawing) and position it in line
with the text so that you can still "grab" it in the unprotected section.
