Sorry for posting this question again but my question seems to have been
removed from the discussion groups after only one day, even though someone
responded.....

Running Office 2003 Sp1 on an XP SP2 box.  When printing WordArt to an hp
colour laserjet (any series 5 driver) the first character prints with a black
background.  If I print to a black and white printer it prints fine.

Whoever responded first time around, please respond again if you have an
answer

Your first post wasn't removed, but you probably can't find it
because you posted to the Word General Questions newsgroup two
days ago, and to the Word Drawing and Graphics newsgroup today.

In Word, click on File | Print | Printer Name: HP Color Laserjet
5 | Properties | Layout | Advanced | Document Options | Advanced
Printing Features: Disabled | OK, and then try printing again.
If that doesn't help, then in the Advanced menu again, click on
Graphic | Image Color Management | ICM Method: "ICM Handled by
Host System" or "ICM Disabled" | OK, and then try printing again.
