Locking pictures

Is it possible to lock a picture to a point such as the header in a document
without protecting the section?  This would help a lot because when the
document is protected all sorts of commands are not available and I need to
create a template with a logo that cannot be tampered with.

Any help would be very gratefully received.  Many thanks

The only way to insert a logo that *cannot* be tampered with is to protect
the document with a password (see
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/customization/ProtectWord2000PlusHeader.htm). But
anchoring the picture to the header provides protection against an
inadvertent move or deletion, and that's usually all you need. If you need
the logo only on the first page, anchor it to the First Page Header.

If you're creating letterhead, see

I also have a question relating to this to.  I have a picture that  I want to
see as my footer and whnever I type or press Enter, it moves my header with
it.  Is there anyway to lock this into place.  I tried sending to back and
grouping to back nothing works.  Also is there a way to auto format so that
picture shows up in teh sme location on each page so i dont have to
phsyically copy and paste it 100 times?

Have you inserted the picture in the Footer pane?

Never even realized I could do that! Thanks a lot it worked beautifully.  One
more thing.  When I put the picutre in the header and footer the colour faded
a bit, anyway to make it origianl brightness and contrast?  If not Im happy
with this.

If you view the page in Print Preview, you will see that the picture will
print properly. The header and footer are always dimmed when you are working
in the document body, and vice versa.
