Why isn't the auto spell working in Tables?
Suzanne S. Barnhill - 26 Jan 2006 14:41 GMT
Possibly because the text in the table is formatted as "Do not check
spelling and grammar."

I highlighted all text within the table and checked to make sure everything
was on for spell check & grammar.

Did you check Tools | Language | Set Language for the text in the table? Is
the table in a text box? If so, it will be checked after the main document.

The language is set to English US and the text is within a table/text box and
it still is not checking once I select spell check again. I purposely
mispelled words within the boxes/tables to see if it was working and it's
not.

Do you have "Check spelling as you type" enabled? If so, does it mark the
words as misspelled?

In that case, and if you are absolutely positive that the exact word is
formatted with the correct language and not marked as "Do not check spelling
or grammar," then check the custom dictionary to see if it's been added by
mistake.
