In Word 2002, how do I erase a corner of a drawing I made?

I would like to trim a corner off of a rectangle. An eraser pointer would be
fantastic. Any ideas of how I can do this within Word 2002?

One option: Use the Freeform Line tool in the Drawing toolbar's AutoShapes
to create the *trapezoid* - just click to create the corner points, then
click the point of origin to close the shape.

Draw a triangle the size you want, fill it white and make the line white and
position it over your drawing. If you make any changes to your drawing you
might have to bring the triangle back to the front

What I do when I need a square/rectangle shape to be "missing a part" is to
just use the line feature to make my shape. That way I can leave off
whatever part I don't need. You can group this shape once you get it the way
you want it so you can move it around without undoing the shape.
