I have Office 2003pro loaded, so why doesn't Word at least give me an option
for MS Photo Manager or an "Open with" selection tool?

How do I change it to any other program?  The Web help for this is a joke.
TOOLS/OPTIONS/EDIT/Picture Editor has only the outdated Word Picture editing
tool and no other options even if I have Adobe Photoshop loaded!

Unfotunately the setting in Tools=>Options doesn't support outside editors.

You can cut and paste into Word or save from your graphics program and use Insert=>Picture from file.

Picture Manager is basically a file manager with minor editing capabilities.

Using Insert=Object to embed a link to a 3rd party app using OLE puts a really big 'lump' in your files and may not be that much of
an improvement in editing.
