Hello,

I am using Word 2003. I have a number of pictures, say 30 or 40 which
I currently have in a word doc.

Is there a way of showing the filename/path of each picture underneath
each one, without manually having to type a filnename/path for each
one?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hi Ket,

If the pictures are linked to the ones on the drive, you could use a macro
to examine the link field and pull out the path in there.

Alternatively, if the linked pictures are formatted as 'in-line' and you
press Alt-F9, you'll be able to see the link paths and filenames for all the
fields. You could then copy & paste the paths and filenames from the fields
into the body of your document.

If the pictures aren't linked to the ones on the drive, neither of the above
methods will work, since Word keeps no record of an unlinked picture's
origins.

Cheers
