Is there a way of drawing a line without a large frame opening and more often
than not block where I want to enter the line. I have to draw the line, close
the box then more the lines or arrows to where I want them to be.

This is new to Microsoft as all the previous versions of Word was very easy
to draw lines, arrows etc.  Am I doing something wrong? Why is this so
difficult in 2003?

Thanks - desperate for answers, Kala

Hi Kala,

In Word's Tools=>Options=>General  see if turning off the setting to automatically create a Drawing Canvas
helps with this behavior.

That has done the trick, again thank you it is so appreciated.  I can now
