I'm trying to insert a picture from my scanner into Word. I'm using my
scanner's WIA driver. If I scan in color the image appears in word
fine. However, if I scan in grayscale or black and white, the scanner
scans and there is no error, but the image never appears.

Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

I should also note that I can scan with the Scanner and Camera Wizard,
MS Paint and PaintShop Pro without a problem, in color, grayscale and
black and white. So I don't think the problem is with my scanner.
