In Word Can't See Inserted Clipart

First and foremost, thank you for your help.

I have Window XP, and when I am in Word and I insert a
Clipart picture I cannot not see it in my document.

This also happens if I copy something on-line and want to
paste it in Word.  I have no problem with text, just the
pictures.

Tools | Options | View:

1. Check the box for "Drawings."

2. Clear the check box for "Picture placeholders."

You will still not be able to see objects in the drawing layer ("Drawings")
in Normal view.

Note that if you have pasted a picture from a Web site, you have not pasted
the picture itself but only a link to its location online. To embed the
picture in your document, select it and press Ctrl+Shift+F9.
