If they're In Line with Text, you can't... at least not without the help of
a macro. Perhaps someone has code they can offer for that purpose.

However, if the objects have Text Wrapping applied you may be able to use
the Format Picture dialog to set the cropping values (the Crop tool on the
Picture toolbar is inactive when multiple objects are selected). Two
assumptions are that they are all "like" objects and that you want to apply
the same crop settings to each. Note: It helps to add the Select Multiple
Objects button to a toolbar if you have that many objects to select at once.

It might be possible for inline graphics as well. Using the Find dialog, you
can search for graphics using ^g. By checking the "Highlight all items
found" box, you can select them all at once. You can then use Format |
Picture to apply uniform settings.

Hi Suzanne -

This sounded like a real possibility - I did one of the "Duh!" things when I
read your post:)

Unfortunately I can't get it to work (Word 2003). The Find dialog accurately
indicates the number of graphics (^g, Highlight all items, Main Doc) in the
file, but it _selects_ only the last object, so the cropping only applies to
that one graphic.

Am I missing a step somewhere?

I haven't actually tried it, but when you use it for text, it does actually
select (which is what it means by "highlight") all the found text. When you
click out of the dialog, you have to be careful not to click into the
document (which will deselect); one way to do that is to click on the title
bar. But if even that doesn't work, then I guess it just won't work for
graphics.

The second-best solution is to set "Graphic" as the Browse Object, find the
first, perform the formatting (through the Format Picture dialog), click the
browse arrow to get to the next one, and F4 to repeat the formatting. I
believe this does work; at least I've done something similar that did work.

I don't currently have a document with graphics that I can easily test on,
unfortunately.
