Sluggishness like this is sometimes caused by Word not cleaning
out its temporary files like it should (or by such files being
left over after a crash). Easiest way to clean out your temp
folder is to run the "Disk Cleanup" tool. This should be in Start
> All Programs > Accessories > System Tools, or by clicking Start
> Run, typing cleanmgr in the Open box, and clicking OK. (That's
for XP. I don't know if Disk Cleanup is available on Vista.)
