When I open a document with linked .wmf files it will display them
when scolling down (loading then into memory). When I select a figure,
however, the image dissapears and a bock with a small red cros
appears. I haven't change any thing and haven't touched anything. When
I manually reset the path (edit-links-change source) all is fine and
working again. Now the problem is that I would need to do that with
hundreds of images in different docs.
When I copy past the entire file into a new one, it won't display the
images anymore after saving and reopening.

ANy thoughts?

Cheers

Hi Kalle,

If you're having to re-establish the links, this suggests
that the images are no longer in the same folder that they
were in before. If tht's so, and you don't want to restore
the previous folder arrangement, check out:

(url all one line)
where you can download a Word file with a macro to
automate link updating.

Cheers

The images have not moved nore were the names changed. There is one
thing I could think of causing the troubble:
Before saving perhaps not all images were loaded into memory. Perhaps
that causes the problem. Although the linked path will be saved and
the location is still valid (a bug?).
I have updated every link by hand and now make sure I only save after
F9 every thing. Since than I had no issues any more.

Cheers
