rotating "picture" prints out lines above and below picture.

When I scan in a signature it comes in as a picture.  I
tried to rotate the signature because it scanned in
slightly crooked.

After rotating the picture and printing out the letter,
there appears "broken lines" above and below the
signature.  If I return it to its original location and
then print out the letter, there are no lines.

Do you know of any reason why rotating the picture would
create these lines?  The lines cannot be seen in the
document or in print preview.

Thanks for your helps.  I have hundreds of letter to print
out with this signature and I'm really stuck.

I would suggest rescanning the signature to get it straight. And if you
scanned it into a graphics app, try rotating it there before saving it in a
graphics format.
