Hello out there.

Can any kind person explain how I remove a watermark in
Word 2002 that was created in a Word 2000 document. Word
itself (2002 10.5522.4219 sp-2) does not 'see' it. When we
follow the usual process (Format, Background, Printed
Watermark ..., then select No Watermark) the watermark
remains visible.

Anyone else had this problem?

Thomas.

Try going into the Header / Footer -- can you get a hold of it there?

View | Header and Footer. Click on the watermark and press Delete.

Thanksyou very much. We'll try that. It looks like that
will work - Word crashed!! but we managed to select the
watermark text. So when we're back up we'll try again.

Cheers.

Tom
