Hi Group. I am using the Office 2000 package.

Here's the deal... I have created a template for many
users to use over a network it is stored on a common
drive. The top half is protected to make some neat drop
downs work and ensure some specific formatting is locked.
Then the is a page break and below that it is UNPROTECTED.

From time to time the users insert a picture in the
unprotected area. Currently it looks like the Layout of
the picture is defaulted as "In line with text" and it
seems that even if part of the template is protected, the
top part in this case, that format can't be changed.

Some users want to be able to type up to the picture and
the way it is now they can only start to type in line with
the bottom of the picture.

So a couple of questions..

Is there a way to default the way a picture is inserted?
If so does that info live on the template or on the users
own personal Office settings?

Is there a way to set it up so the user can manipulate the
format of a picture while the top half of the form is
protected?
