In Word98, in order to work more easily with a very large document, I
can separate text from graphics by deleting all graphics (using ^g and
search/replace), and save the text as a separate doc file.

Is there a way that I can then extract all the graphics from the same
large document and save them as a separate file?

Hi Tony

Assuming that Word on the Mac works much the same as Word for Windows,
do File > Save As. In the Save As Type box, choose Web Page. Word will
extract all your pictures as separate files.

Hope this helps.

Word98 for Windows, which is what I use, does not have a Web Page
option, but the html option does exactly what you said. In other
words, your suggestion was the solution. Thanks very much.
