Theoretically, this is perfectly possible. Practically, you
may have trouble obtaining any languages for Office 2000
besides French and Spanish, which are included in the
English-language version (I'm assuming that's the version
you have, since you post to an English newsgroup.)
Office setup installs only the local language tools,
normally. You must specify if you want other languages. Go
to START/Settings/Control Panel and run Add/Remove
programs. Choose to change the Office 2000 installation,
insert your CD, and drill down in the "Office tools"
categories, under the single application listings; you'll
find the available languages in here. Choose to install
the Spanish tools.
The problem with any languages you do NOT see listed here
is that Microsoft has discontinued production of the
language pack for Office 2000. You might be able to pick it
up used somewhere on the Internet, though.
