I'm not sure when this problem started but for my last
two Spanish assignments I have been unable to insert
basic foreign characters using the shortcut keys (ie. á
is ALT+0225). I can insert them practically in any other
program that recognizes this command but Word will not
let me do it. I'm very frustrated because it's taking me
a heck of a lot longer to type assignments without using
these handy dandy shortcuts. Help would be much
appreciated.

Click the NumLock button.
