Hi,

I'm trying to write a text in armenian language using armenian fonts. I
already downloaded a set of true type fonts which let me choose single
characters from a table and copy them to word. This works for words but
is not really suitable for writing a whole text.
I also tried to the change the language setting for office with the link
from the office tools menu, but since there is no choice for armenian
language this doesn't help. Do I need to install anything additional? By
the way I'm using Office 2000 on w2k or xp.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Carsten

If you have Windows 2000 or XP, then you have a built-in, Unicode, OpenType
font for Armenian and a built-in Keyboard as well. If you use *those* things
then typing and seeing the data is easy.

Would you then mind giving me a short description on how to set this?

Thanks, Carsten

1) Control Panel|Regional and Language Options

2) 2nd tab, click on the "complex ascript languages" checkbox, apply.

3) Click on the "Details" button to install keyboards, Add to add a new one,
choosing the Armenian language and the layout will show up there. Click ok
to get out of there.

4) Close the dialog.

You will now have the font and the keyboard installed.
