Hi,

I had a harddisk failure which wiped out all my fonts.
I successfully managed to restore all fonts using MS KB
and installed MS 'More Euro fonts-Office patch' as well.
Now the Euro symbol works EXCEPT for the Standard Arial font.

RIGHT-ALT + 5    or    ALT 0128   just show an empty square.

Tried several Arial fonts from other working sources but at no avail.
They where identical, so euro support must reside elsewhere (registry?)
I need the Arial Euro very badly  (using Windows98 and Office97).

Who has a clue?

TIA,
John7

Can you get the Euro symbol by using Insert -> Symbol ?
It may just be the keyboard mappings thet have changed rather than the
fonts.

I didn't find any EURO-symbol in Insert - Symbol.
Odd is, when I press Right ALT + 5 for EURO, I get an empty square
while people reading my document get the EURO symbol.

They are in the win98_52.cab file in the Win98 directory of your Windows
98 CD.
