I run: Windows 2000 SP4 and Office 2000 SP3
(yeah, I know, I am old fashion but I guess that
combination is what makes my laptop not look to old and
slow...)

The included proofing languages are: English and French.

I have the files for German proofing. But copying them in
the correct directories doesn't make it work.

I assume from what I have read here that there is no known
method to make this work ?

Apart from buying the "Microsoft® Office XP Proofing Tools
Standard Edition" although I am not even sure this works
for my old version of Office ?

Thanks for the help

Me again answering my own posting...

I almost had a solution. I discovered I had a Microsoft
Works Suite 2003 CD, german version with Word 2002 on it.

It doesn't really work as to install just the german
proofing tools for the Word 2000 (and not all the
applications in WOrks), I have to install all the
Works "add-on stuff" (address book...), meaning around 100
MB of disk space used for nothing. Not really optimal.

I haven't found a way for Word 2000 to just fetch and
install the german proofing tools from the Works CD.

If anyone has a clue, I am all ears.

Cheers
Bruno
