I am trying to send letter in Polish using accent marks
using Microsoft works 98

Help says:

click to left of character you want to select diacrictic
or ligated character

Then hold down SHFT key and press right arrow key

This did not work for me. Am I doing something wrong ?

Hmmmm.  There are no accent marks in Polish language.

The easiest way to type in polish is to install polish
keyboard layout - it is the standard keyboard and the
polish letters are accesed by clicking the letter while
holding right Alt key.  If you do not want to install
polkish keyboard, then you may try to insert the letters
as symbols.
