Hi
I use the copyright symbol in most word documents by using
the key combination Ctrl-Alt-C. However, my organisation
has recently implmeneted Lotus Notes sametime to
complement our notes email system. Unfortunately,
sametime has hijacked the key combination above for itself
and I can't seem to find any way around this. I can't
alter the key sequence employed for sametime through any
options within it nor can I amend the Ctlr-Alt-C
combination within word to give me the copyright symbol.
Anyone have any other idea?
Thanks in advance for any responses.

Try the ASCII code Alt+0169. That is, hold down the Alt key, then on
the numeric keypad at the right side of your keyboard, key 0169. Can't
use the number keys on the top row of the keyboard for this.

You can change the shortcut key associated with the copyright symbol by
following the instructions in the Microsoft Word help text:
----------------------------------------------
Assign a symbol to a shortcut key
1 On the Insert menu, click Symbol.
2 Click the tab with the symbol or character you want.
3 Click the symbol or character you want.
4 Click Shortcut Key.
5 In the Press new shortcut key box, type the key combination you want to
use.
6 Click Assign.
