I have an end user that is using the symbols font to
write in greek and when they come to the end of a line ms
word will not carry forward the word to the next line. it
doesn't know it is a word. The word is cut in half. It
will in times romans font but not in symbols font.

And?

The solution of course is for your end user to install Greek
language support (keyboard, from the Control Panel) and use
that to write in Greek.

You install Greek Language Support by going to Add/Remove
Programs and clicking on the Windows Components tab. Look
for the Multilingual Support item. Then Greek will be
available in the keyboard options.

This would be expected..... Greek should be written with a Greek font, not a
symbol font (if you want the text to be treated as actual Greek language
text).

I think they need to realize that For Win95 only a GREEK version of Win95 is
going to support Greek properly. If they need to support Greek properly they
are going to have to upgrade to an operating system that is meant to support
it.

You _can_ do with English-language Windows 95:

You can download some of the non-unicode Greek fonts.  It won't be
"proper" in MichKa's sense; but it will work.  You will have problems
if you try to share documents with other computers, though.
