How do I get microsoft word to write in French?
Michael \(michka\) Kaplan [MS] - 15 Aug 2004 22:51 GMT
MS Word can't write in any language -- if you mean how can you type in
French, all you need to do is add the French keyboard layout to Windows and
you should be able to type as much French as you need....

If you mean, how can you get it to correct French words,
then you select the text and apply French language
formatting via Tools/Language/Set language.

You'd also need to install the French proofing tools.

You can type French using any keyboard; the special symbols
can be found in Insert/Symbol, along with the keyboard
combination you can use to insert them directly from the
keyboard.

I don't advise installing and using a French keyboard
layout, unless you've used it before and are comfortable
with it. It's rather different from any English keyboard
(or even German, for that matter).
