I use the language bar to type Japanese on my computer. I
normally open the language bar, select which kana I want
to type then simply type it in romanji. Then as I type
the english romanji is translated into Japanese.
For some reason however, now the language bar only has
two options (Caps and Kana) so now I can't type in
romanji anymore. Please tell me how to change it back!
I normally use Notepad, if it's any help.

Care to mention your Windows version, any recent updates etc?

Sorry, Windows XP Home (SP1), Office XP.
No recent updates, so I don't actually know what changed
to make it not work.

I have a similar problem but slightly different. I am
creating a build on a laptop for my school. When logged in
as administrator the japanese language bar works as
expected but if any other user logs in it is the same as
Phil's problem. Is it possible that a relevant profile or
setting in a profile isn't loading or is it a permission
problem? I have investigated both to no avail. I am
running office XP on windows 2000 so that the Japanese IME
works.
