I made some chages in word options and I cannot take them
back. Its about TOC filed code. I want word to display TOC
normally (like 1.bla...........1) not the code of TOC. I
know how to switch it back from code to normal, but the
problem is that when I update the TOC it turns back to
code.
What should I do?

Someone help, please.

Hi Sasa

Alt-F9 will toggle between displaying field results and field codes for
the whole document.

This can also be controlled at Tools > Options > View. If "Field codes"
is ticked, then you'll see field codes.

Hope this helps.
