Dear Microsoft,

Please can you tell me how I do letterheadings on Windows
98 and Windows 2000 (on the word pad).

Please can you tell me how to put the spell checker on?

Thank you

Pamela Griffiths

For letterhead (if that's what you meant), see
http://home.zebra.net/~sbarnhill/Letterhead.htm.

On the Spelling & Grammar tab of Tools | Options, check the options you want
(including check spelling as you type); make sure "Hide spelling errors in
this document" is not checked. Make sure that the text has the correct
language assigned (Tools | Language | Set Language) and that "Do not check
spelling and grammar" is not checked.

All of the above instructions are for Word, the subject of this NG. From
your question, it would appear that you are using WordPad, a Windows
accessory. You will need to ask WordPad questions in a Windows NG. But I can
tell you that WordPad does not have a spelling checker, nor can you add a
header in WordPad.
