create table of contents from my own created style.

Hi to all,

I have created a My own Style and given a name like
StyleList1, styleList2 up to 5 what i want is that when i
create a table of Contents from index and Table i want to
use my one style in place of Heading1,Heading2,Heading3.

so i will create my table of contents from My style.

please help me.

In the Table of Contents dialog, click the Options... button and type the
appropriate level number next to your custom heading style in the list.

Hi Shital,

This is determined in Insert/References/Indexes and
Tables/Table of Contents/Options. Here you can choose which
styles should be considered for which TOC levels.

The other way would be to manually edit the TOC field's
switches. You'll find more information on which switches do
what in Word's Help on the TOC field

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but when you click
on Options on the Table of Contents box, you are able to
choose which Styles you want to appear in your TOC and
which level they should be by typing a number next to
that Style name in the "TOC level" list.  Make sure no
other Styles are chosen.
