Randam word inserts

I'm getting randam word inserts in both Word and Excel
and assume it is the auto-format program. Words
automatically insert where the cursor is ... most words
are articles (i.e. a, an, the, but, to, if) ..but not
always and its intermittent but a real problem when it
happens

I would be happy just to deactivate auto-format, but need
help.

If you have the voice transcription feature installed, uninstall it.
