I posted this to the wrong group before. I think this is
the correct group. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have turned off all auto formatting and deleted the
entry in the registry that stores the formatting for
WORD. However, when I want to bold a word the entire
document is bolded and I have to "undo". If I want to
indent a line the entire document is indented. If I want
to make a paragraph, hanging indent the entire document
is hanging indent. Make a word Small caps, the entire
document becomes small caps. This is a royal pain. Any
help would be greatly appreciated. There are several
other users in this office experiencing the same issue

Hi,

This sounds like you've got whatever para style you're working in set to
'Automatically update'. Select an erant paragraph, then goto
Format|Style|Modify and make sure 'Automatically update' is unchecked.

Cheers

You got an answer where you posted first; you could have looked there before
posting again. See
