I would like to format a book of over 400 pages with
graphics included. The problem I have is that when I
format it at home it prints fine. If I take the document
to the office on a different printer (and computer) the
pagination and layout changes slightly. It doesn't have to
change much to really ruin the graphics locations and look
of the pages. How can I ensure there will be no change.

The 'use printer metrics' option is not ticked, however I
notice that even at home, if I change the default printer
driver the layout changes. I thought this is not supposed
to happen.

I would appreciate any help I can get on this problem as I
have to send this document interstate and would like to
know it will print as I wish.

Thank You.

This will always happen because Word formats according to the printer driver
and the font files on the PCs. You need to establish which printer the
document is destined for and setup the same driver on both machines. If both
are using the same operating system and Word version, chances are the font
files will be the same.

If you wish to pass on the document, the best plan would be to convert to
PDF format, for which you'll need third party software.
