Hi All,
I have a table of contents and am trying to put in tab
leaders permanently in the table to separate the headings
from the page numbers. The problem is I can format the tab
and include tab leaders but the moment I try to update the
entire table, Word removes the tab leaders. How do I
prevent Word from doing this.
This is what i currently have as fieldcodes for my table
of contents:
TOC \O \P \W "1-9" \* MERGEFORMAT
Thanks

Remove the \p switch, which is not needed (and I'm wondering whether you
really need the \w switch either). For more on what these switches do, see
"Field codes: TOC field" in Word's Help and/or

Hi Sasha,
The layout of a TOC is set by the format of styles TOC 1 to TOC 9. Change
the format of the tabs in those 9 styles in your template, and the TOC will
pick up the format from them.
