Continuous Section Break

I am using Word 2000

I created a blank form with a header for page 1 and a
different header for page 2-???.  I put in a "continuous
section break" after the header on page 1 in order to
create a different header for page 2.  Now I want to paste
text starting on page 1 but Word won't let me.  It puts
the text on page 2 - 5.  Does anyone know what I did
wrong?  I will be the first to admit that I really do no
understand how the section breaks really operate, but I
believe I have done this before and it worked OK.  I need
help, please.

You don't need a section break for this. Check the "Different first page"
box on the Layout tab of Page Setup, then put your header for the first page
in the First Page Header and your header for the subsequent pages in the
Header. For more, see http://home.zebra.net/~sbarnhill/Letterhead.htm
